During the reverse engineering process, dimensions, geometry, connection methods, operating conditions, and, when required, material properties and other technical characteristics are evaluated.
The objective is not simply to copy the external appearance of the component. Its function and key requirements are also studied so that the newly manufactured component can perform its intended function properly.
